Making the Magazine Advert

This is my magazine advert. I decided to experiment with the design before deciding on a final one. The first one is what I created first, but I thought that this was too boring and didn't having anything that would draw you to it. Due to this, I decided to add some colour to some parts, without making it too colourful. I decided to colour in the line, the rating stars and the outline of the social media logos. I chose the colour blue to reflect the gender of my artist, male, but also I felt like the baby blue/light blue went really well with the rest of the colour theme. Although I thought this was good, I still thought there was something missing so I went back to my poster conventions and looked. I was missing the promotion for the album, for example the iTunes and Google Play logo. I then googled these and added them onto my poster. I feel as though the overall look of my poster is very professional and has met the conventions of a poster. The third and fourth are the ones I am torn between so I am going to create a survey and see which one is more appealing to the audience because obviously this is who I am wanting to please.

This is my survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/99FCNMD

Here are the results of my survey, just over 60 people took part:

These are the original images for when I did a shoot to get the images I needed. I did an experiment of different shots to see which one would work out best because I felt like if I had more I would have a wider range to pick from.

Below I am going to talk about the different tools I used to create the poster:
