Making the spine for my digipak was fairly easy because I did it after producing the rest of my digipak so I was very familiar with all the tools. I experimented with the different fonts on the spine before deciding on the final one, which is the top one. Below are the tools I used to make my spine:
To get all the text on my spine, the serial number and the artists/albums name, I used the 'Horizontal Type' tool which allowed me to use the font I downloaded from dafont.com, the 'Neoteric' font. I then placed the text in the specific spot that I wanted it so I was happy with the look of it.
Then, because I wanted to put the record labels logo on the spine to follow conventions, I used Google to find the XL recordings logo so that I could choose a file then copy and paste it onto the spine. I did this then scaled down the logo so that I could place it at the top. I repeated this process a couple of times to experiment with the different texts on the spine. I feel as though the process of making my spine was quite easy because I had already done most of the stuff before and the spine doesn't really need to feature many things so this made it quite quick and easy to do.
